BUDAPEST, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Various activities were held on Sunday in Hungary to celebrate its national holiday.
Visitors and tourists were provided with a diverse array of exhibitions, concerts and children's programs, among others.
A significant attraction of the day -- the light and fireworks display started here at 9:00 p.m. local time.
It encompassed pyrotechnic effects, intricate light and laser shows, building projections, a waterborne fire-created flower carpet, and nearly 900 drones.
Fireworks were launched from 230 points, including floating barges and fixed locations across various bridges.
Zoltan Kovacs, state secretary for international communications and relations and who was responsible for the event, said on his Facebook page that activities witnessed both orderly conduct and immense public engagement.
